Optimal compressor performance

Machine characteristics change in time

The efficiency of an operating machine will slowly deteriorates, which means that the runtime process parameters change. So, after some time calculations, based on the characteristics given by the manufacturer, no longer will lead to the optimal operating point of the machine. To be able to optimize the performance continuously, it is necessary to determine and to use the actual characteristics of the machine.

Finding the optimal operating point is an automated process

The Compressor Characterizer determines the actual characteristics and passes them automatically to the Compressor Optimizer. Taking into account the actual characteristics, the Compressor Optimizer finds, fully automated, the optimal operating point.

The optimal point for load sharing

The Compressor Optimizer also automatically finds the optimal operational point for load sharing. Even in the case the actual characteristics are not used, savings will be achieved when the Compressor Optimizer calculates what the optimal point under the given conditions will be. However, it is better to use the actual characteristics.

  • Estimated savings for two parallel operating gas machines are 85,000 USD/yr
  • Estimated savings for two parallel electric driven machines are 225,000 USD/yr

A unique feature

The continuously, fully automated process of finding the optimal operating point by the Compressor Optimizer, transcends the possibilities of all other existing programs by far.

Results

The results of automatically finding the optimal operating point, are not only lower fuel and energy cost, but also the advantages of a higher production volume and more efficient load sharing.
