The Network Optimizer


The combination of all tools is the Network Optimizer. It’s is the perfect way for economical and operational modeling, simulation and optimizing of gas pipeline networks. It determines optimal parameters for a new network, as well as for an existing one.

The Network Optimizer is a powerful customizable tool, developed under supervision of Leonid Ostromuhov. It is the follow up of his program ACCORD, used by Gazprom (Russia), Usbektransgas, Ukrainian Gasprom, and Wingas (Germany).
 
  • It is the first program that uses Graph theory, NLP and MINLP and that contains methods for a complete search, specially developed for steady state network optimizing;
  • The Standard-Methods from NLP, that have been used, are easy exchangeable; 
  • It can be used for solving all type of problems of generic networks on- and offshore. E.g. it is used to calculate gas pressure, gas temperature, and the thickness of pipes for underwater transport;
  • The models for Compressors, as well as for turbines, are very accurate;
  • Pipeline-models, with consideration of gas temperature and geodetic altitude, are available as well as choice for infrastructure and the equipping of complex compressor stations;
  • Different from other programs, the Network Optimizer doesn’t need to use simplifications of the problems and it has all steps fully automated.
